Ardent Hire Solutions strengthens its UK coverage with a new fleet of Volvo trucks

Ardent Hire Solutions has taken delivery of a group of new Volvo FH tractor units, to join the company’s current fleet of 53 vehicles. The 6x2 tag axle tractor units are equipped with Globetrotter cabs, Volvo’s D13K engine producing 500hp and I-Shift automated transmission system gearboxes. A combination of replacement and additional vehicles, the initial five Volvo FH tractor units are the first of many new Volvo trucks ordered for operation by Ardent Hire Solutions.

The vehicles, supplied through an arrangement with MC Truck and Bus and Hanbury Riverside, consist of new FH tractor units and Volvo FMX 8x2 rigid vehicles with Andover Trailers Plant bodywork. The group have all been specified with the latest FORS / Cross Rail compliant equipment, including colour cameras, to meet the highest safety standards.

Backed by Private Equity firms, Duke Street and Searchlight Capital, Ardent Hire Solutions Ltd has the largest telehandler fleet in the UK, and one of the largest excavator fleets, with over 5000 machines available for hire, worth over £150m.
